‘EMPTY’ Promo Video

Chaz Russo was developing an idea for ‘EMPTY’ and I decided to take the idea and make it feel like a music video.

I’ve worked with Starla twice now and I am always really pleased with her ability to take direction and add her own quality to it. Good job as always.

This shoot was planned on Tuesday. I had just finished cutting another promo for “stressed” and needed a cool spin on a story involving paint. I really wanted to get some florescents in the shoot. I’ve been thinking about that for a while and this was a perfect fit.

I just met this guy at the shoot and was really happy he was apart of this project. He had this rock and roll persona and it worked awesome in the style I was going for.

EQUIPMENT // CREDITS:
3 Canon 7Ds and 1 Canon 5D. 24-70mm, 50mm, 70-200mm, 16-24mm Lenses.  Z-Finder, UNO.

Thanks to Remy for pulling most of the actors together. Jim for helping with the shoot and running his 7D with a sick new lens (Congrats). Andy for getting the wardrobe together. Chaz for initiating the core of the story.

Andrew had a unique place in this shoot, I wanted a camera to grab a particular angle where the paint comes flying at the camera… Jim hid behind a plexiglass container and plenty of throw cloths.
